1. Scope and contractual parties
asdf club is an online marketplace platform. The sellers are:
- Makers – sellers of physical, 3D-printed products,
- Designers – sellers of digital STL files.
The platform operator acts as merchant of record for payment processing via Stripe Connect. The following withdrawal instructions therefore apply accordingly in favour of and against the relevant seller (the Maker for physical products, the Designer for STL files).
The handling of withdrawals takes place exclusively via the Platform (see section 7).
These instructions are directed at consumers within the meaning of § 13 of the German Civil Code (BGB). A consumer is any natural person who concludes a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly outside their trade, business or profession.
2. Withdrawal instructions for physical products (printed goods)
The following withdrawal instructions use the statutory model wording from Annex 1 to Article 246a § 1 (2) sentence 2 of the Introductory Act to the German Civil Code (EGBGB), translated in accordance with the official wording of Annex I (A) of Directive 2011/83/EU.
Right of withdrawal
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the goods.

of your decision to withdraw from this contract by an unequivocal statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or email). You may use the attached model withdrawal form, but it is not obligatory.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (with the exception of the supplementary costs resulting from your choice of a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us), without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract. We will carry out such reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.
You shall send back the goods or hand them over to us, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired.
You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods.
You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

4. Right of withdrawal for digital content (STL files)
4.1 Principle: right of withdrawal and early expiry
For the provision of digital content not supplied on a tangible medium (in particular STL files), §§ 327 ff. BGB apply. In principle, you have a right of withdrawal of 14 days from the conclusion of the contract.
The right of withdrawal expires prematurely under § 356 (5) no. 2 BGB if:
- you have given express consent to the performance of the contract beginning before the expiry of the withdrawal period,
- you have acknowledged that, by giving this consent, you lose your right of withdrawal upon commencement of performance, and
- the Designer has provided you with confirmation of this consent and acknowledgement on a durable medium (in particular by email to the email address registered with your account), in accordance with § 312f (3) BGB.
4.2 How it works on the Platform
When you purchase an STL file, confirmation of the following declaration ("withdrawal waiver") is a technical prerequisite for completing the checkout. Without this confirmation, payment cannot be completed; the STL file is unlocked in your personal library (stl_access) only after successful payment.
Content of the declaration (illustrative):
"I expressly request that you commence performance of the contract before the expiry of the withdrawal period. I acknowledge that, upon commencement of performance, I lose my right of withdrawal."
The exact wording of the declaration you confirmed is recorded in our systems at the moment of your confirmation and is documented to you together with the order confirmation by email (durable medium within the meaning of § 312f (3) BGB).
Consequence: With your confirmation of the declaration and the commencement of contract performance (unlocking of the STL file for download), your right of withdrawal expires pursuant to § 356 (5) no. 2 BGB. A subsequent withdrawal from the contract for an already-unlocked STL file is excluded by statute.
4.3 Warranty rights and non-performance for STL files
Your statutory warranty rights for defects (§§ 327d ff. BGB) remain unaffected by the withdrawal waiver. If an STL file is defective (e.g. not printable, missing geometry, unusable mesh) or, despite successful payment, fails to be unlocked in your library for technical reasons, you may submit a request via the "Request a refund" button on the Platform (see section 7). In justified cases, we will refund the full purchase price.
5. Cancellation of physical orders before production begins
In addition to the statutory right of withdrawal (section 2), for physical orders you may cancel the order at any time before production begins (status pending) using the in-app cancellation feature on the Platform.
Important note on the cancellation fee: In the event of such a voluntary cancellation before production begins, the order amount will be refunded to you minus the non-refundable payment processing fee withheld by Stripe. This fee is retained by our payment service provider Stripe and cannot be refunded by us; it will be displayed to you transparently before you confirm the cancellation.
This applies only to voluntary cancellations in pending status via the in-app function. It does not affect:
- the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal under section 2 (full refund, including all payment-related costs, once the goods have been returned),
- refunds approved by the Maker or by the administration in cases of defects, delivery issues or disputes (full refund of the amount paid),
- refunds after processing or shipping (
processed/shipped/delivered), which are handled exclusively via the warranty and dispute resolution procedure on the Platform.
6. Statutory warranty rights
Your statutory rights in case of defects (warranty for material defects under §§ 434 ff. BGB for physical goods, and under §§ 327d ff. BGB for digital content) remain unaffected by these withdrawal instructions. Limitation periods follow from statute and are, in principle, two years from delivery in the case of movable goods.
7. Handling via the Platform
As the platform operator acts as merchant of record via Stripe Connect, the handling of withdrawals, cancellations and refund requests takes place exclusively via the Platform:
- Withdrawal from physical products (section 2): declaration informally by email to
contact@asdf-club.comor via the order view in your account. We will forward the matter to the Maker and arrange the refund via Stripe. - Cancellation before production begins (section 5): via the "Cancel order" button in the order view (available only while the status is
pending). - Notice of defects and refund requests: via the "Request a refund" button in the order view. You can upload evidence (e.g. photographs of a defective product).
Refunds are processed via Stripe to the original means of payment you used at checkout. If you paid in a currency other than EUR (as shown on Stripe Checkout), the refund is generally credited in that same currency on your statement, proportionally to the refunded amount (subject to Stripe and your payment provider). The operator maintains its internal accounts in EUR; redirection to a different payment method or bank account is not technically possible.
